The Ukrainian cultural festival in Stockholm

An exciting one-day Ukrainian cultural festival is set to take place on August 12th at the picturesque Vintervikens Trädgård, one of the charming gardens in the capital of Sweden.

The event, as announced on Facebook, promises a delightful program from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The festival will feature a vibrant fair showcasing the talents of Ukrainian artists and painters. Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase exquisite paintings, jewelry, handmade products, embroidered clothes, bags, shopping bags, wreaths, handmade chocolates, coffee, and much more.

Entertainment will fill the air as various groups, artists, and children take to the stage, presenting traditional and modern Ukrainian folk music performances. Moreover, visitors can participate in enriching art and handicraft workshops, and even engage with an ART therapist.

For those eager to immerse themselves in Ukrainian culture, dance enthusiasts will be delighted to learn Ukrainian folk dances accompanied by lively folk music. Additionally, an exhilarating dance flash mob is being organized, open to everyone.

Children aged 6 and above will have a blast with various contests, games, and entertaining activities, with prizes for all participants. The garden offers a dedicated children’s playground, and little artists can explore their creativity with aqua painting.

For those who love capturing memories, a photo booth will be available, giving attendees the chance to don Ukrainian national costumes and use props from the Ukrainian Theater in Sweden.

During the festival, the vegetarian Vinterviken trädgård cafe will be serving delicious treats. Kindly note that bringing outside food and alcoholic beverages is not permitted.

Make your way to Vinterviksvägen 30, Stockholm, for this incredible festival. The nearest tube station is Aspudden, ensuring easy access for all. Admission is free, though donations can be made to the public organization “Ukrainska Kvinnoföreningen i Sverige,” which supports the Armed Forces of Ukraine and orphanages in the country.

As parking spaces are limited at Vintervikens Trädgård, we kindly request attendees to use nearby parking lots or opt for public transport. Please note that minor changes may occur in the festival program.

The Ukrainian Women’s Organization in Sweden (Ukrainska Kvinnoföreningen i Sverige) and Ibn Rushd Studieförbund are the organizers of this fantastic event.

Previously, an enchanting evening of Ukrainian culture was held in Stockholm, uniting 120 guests – Ukrainian nationals seeking temporary shelter in Sweden due to the ongoing conflict in their homeland.
